Yearbook Pictures Needed
Do you have pictures from SY Jackson events that would look great in the yearbook? If so, please contact Kelly Clark at rattler509@aol.com.

We are looking for pictures from grade specific activities for Kinder - 5th grade as well as from a variety of SYJ activities - Oktoberfest, Reflections, Spirit Days, and anything else you may have!

Mar. 5 & 6 (Mon. & Tues.) - Parent/Teacher Conferences
Our Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up soon on Monday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 6. Please make every attempt to schedule a time with your child's teacher.

There are no classes for the students on these days, so please make all the necessary arrangements.

Also please note, the pink sheet that was handed out in August at the beginning of school stated the spring conference dates incorrectly. The correct dates are March 5 and March 6.

Geography Bee Results
Davis Camacho in Mrs. Ross' 4th grade won this year's Geo Bee.  David has won the opportunity to take a special exam that could qualify him to go on to the State level, and then, possibly to Nationals!

The questions were incredibly difficult and our congratulations are extended to all the children who participated.

Spelling Bee Results
Congratulations to Akshay Warrier, a 5th grader in Mrs. Ross' class.

Akshay was the winner of SYJ's Spelling Bee and went on to win the District Level Spelling Bee competing against other elementary and middle school students from Albuquerque.  He will now move on to represent SYJ and all of Albuquerque at the State Bee in March at Sandia Prep.

Good luck Akshay!
