Box Tops 2010-2011
Mrs. Dosanjh's 2nd grade class won the 1st pizza party with 572 box tops! Our next collection will be Friday, October 15. Our goal is $3,000. Coupons should be trimmed and current - check your dates! Don't forget to ask family & friends for their help. Go to www.btfe.com for more Bonus Opportunities. Attached are samples of an email & letter to send out to family and friends. Feel free to use them to get more support for SYJ.

Volunteer Opportunities
APS Policy: Background checks required at a cost of $18.00. Forms must be hand carried to APS City Center for processing. Extra forms are available at the front office. Please remember to have form signed by the principal prior to processing. Payment may be made by debit/credit card, cashier check or money order only.

Lost and Found
The Lost and Found Box is located just north of the cafeteria, in the hall. Please check the box for items that you may be missing.

On mornings when it is snowing hard or raining, the kids are to go to the gym.

Remember Traffic Laws & Please Sign In
Please make sure you are following all of the laws as you drive around our school. We want to keep our children safe. Also, please don't forget to sign in at the office when you come in.

If you are not participating in the Magazine Sale, please consider making a donation to SYJ PTA. 100% of your donation will help SY Jackson. A donation receipt can be given for your tax purposes.

Sept. 9 (Thurs.) - Family Science Night
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Cafeteria. Sponsored by Sandia Labs. This is a great opportunity for hands-on science activities for all students, K - 5. Volunteers needed for set-up and clean-up. Contact Eric Trujillo, 844-0220, or arrive at the cafeteria at 4:30 pm.

Time: 7:45 am in the Cafeteria
Free donuts & coffee - what could be better! Look for "RSVP" slips coming home via backpack mail. Remember you don't have to be a "Dad" to attend. Any significant adult that would like to attend, may.
